Sending Christmas Flowers & Gifts to Bangkok from Abroad: Timing, Time Zones and What to Know
5 min read · November 3, 2026 · By Chang Florist
Christmas is one of the busiest times for people sending flowers and gifts to Thailand from overseas. The people you love are here; you're somewhere else. Here's what we've learned from years of Christmas orders, so your gift arrives when and where you mean it to.
Christmas in Thailand is a working day
Christmas isn't a public holiday in Thailand. On 25 December most offices, shops and hospitals open as usual, so your recipient is probably at work.
That changes the best address:
- Sending to an office? Their workplace may be the easiest place to reach them on the 25th. Include the building name, floor and company name, and check that reception accepts deliveries.
- Sending to a home? Tell us a good time to find someone in, such as "usually home after 6 pm". We'll do our best, though we can't guarantee an exact delivery time.
We deliver on Christmas Day as usual.
New Year is different. 31 December and 1 January are public holidays, and many people in Bangkok travel to their families in other provinces. If your gift is for New Year, check where they'll actually be.
Our shop also takes a short New Year break, from 31 December to 3 January. Sending a New Year gift? Plan for it to arrive by 30 December. If you need a delivery during the break, contact us before you order and we'll see what we can do.
When to order: a day or two ahead
Same-day delivery is guaranteed for orders placed before 3 PM Thailand time in Bangkok & nearby, or before 2 PM in other areas we serve. Later orders go out the next day.
For Christmas, though, we recommend ordering one to two days ahead. It gives us time to choose the freshest flowers for your arrangement and plan the route, and it leaves room to sort out an address question without a rush. If you're sending to a smaller town outside Bangkok, ordering early matters even more.
The cutoff in your time zone
Thailand is GMT+7 all year round, with no daylight saving. In December, our 3 PM Bangkok cutoff falls at:
| Where you are | 3 PM in Bangkok is… |
|---|---|
| London | 8 AM |
| Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam | 9 AM |
| Dubai | 12 noon |
| Singapore, Hong Kong | 4 PM |
| Tokyo, Seoul | 5 PM |
| Sydney, Melbourne | 7 PM |
| New York, Toronto | 3 AM |
| Los Angeles | midnight at the start of the same day |
For our other areas in Thailand, take one hour off these times.
Choose the delivery date by Thailand's calendar. When you pick 25 December at checkout, that's 25 December in Bangkok, which begins while it's still the 24th in Europe and the Americas. If you're in North America, an order placed on the evening of the 24th your time still reaches us on the morning of the 25th, before the cutoff.
What to choose
Our Christmas collection brings together red roses with pine, and hampers of chocolate, cookies and coffee.
- For someone special: roses say it best.
- For a family: a hamper is something everyone can share.
- For colleagues or clients: business gifts usually start going out in early December, and many companies send their Christmas and New Year gifts together. Plan for them to arrive before Christmas Eve, as most companies wind down after the 24th.
Every arrangement is made by our team in Bangkok, at our shop inside Pak Khlong Talat, the city's flower market.
What to tell us
- The recipient's full name and a phone number that works. We use it to confirm the address or arrange delivery. Please don't enter your own number.
- The full address: building, floor, and company for an office. For a house outside the city, add a Google Maps pin and a nearby landmark. Here's why an address alone may not be enough.
- If it's a surprise, say so in Special instructions. We'll try to keep it, though we can't promise.
- Your card message, in your own words.
What you'll see from us
- A photo before it leaves our shop. We photograph every arrangement and send you the picture, so you can see exactly what we've prepared, even if you're asleep when it's delivered.
- A delivery photo, if you'd like one. Ask when you order. It's free, and we'll take one when the location allows and your recipient is happy to be photographed. How our delivery photos work.
- A message before any change. Flowers are seasonal. If something isn't available, we contact you first, and any substitute matches or exceeds the value and style of what you chose.
Paying from abroad
Prices are in Thai Baht, and you can preview them in your own currency on our site. We accept Visa and Mastercard, credit or debit. Having trouble paying? Contact us on WhatsApp, LINE, or email, and we'll help.
